Scholastic Scope Writing Competition

$660.00

Scholastic Scope Competition Writing provides a platform for students to earn recognition for their writing. Based on readings and prompts from Scope magazine, students can choose from a variety of literary genres, including memoirs, plays, short stories, nonfiction reflections and narratives to create and submit a work of their own. Whether it’s writing a sequel to an existing story or an interview with a fictional character, these contests give young authors the opportunity to shine. Students will receive mentorship on how to structure a story and employ literary devices to make their writing stand out. Through this process, they will develop a deeper understanding of craft that will strengthen their writing.
