PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Mosaic Minds weaves the development of foundational skills in reading, writing, science, and math into engaging activities and projects that encourage students to make connections across subject areas, fostering modes of creative thinking preparatory for accelerated learning. Each module centers learning around the skills and knowledge needed to complete a comprehensive project that students will be able to take home. Our program is divided into three two-week themed modules: “Birds, Bugs, and Baddies”, “Dream Weavers”, and “Epic Beasts and Battles”.
Duration: Mon.-Fri., 9am-12pm, 3 hours per class, 2 weeks for each module.
Key Areas of Development:
Cognitive development in abilities needed for accelerated learning, including processing speed, fluid reasoning, working memory, and perceptual reasoning.
Reinforcement and development in reading, writing, and math fluency.
Development of creative problem-solving.
What Makes This Program Exceptional
Personalized Attention: Classes will be limited to 7 students or fewer, permitting instructors to assess and address individual student needs.
Engaging Methods: Fun and interactive teaching styles with hands-on activities encourage participation and confidence in their abilities.
Adaptable Curriculum: Each activity is scaled to keep students challenged. The complexity of each activity will be adapted to the skills of each student. The scale will be based upon in-class assessments enabled by our small class size.
Relaxed Learning Environment: We maintain a structure to foster behavior that leads to productive learning, while encouraging students to vocalize their ideas as we engage in hands-on projects and activities.
Interdisciplinarity: By focusing the development of our units into projects, students will develop an appreciation for interdisciplinary approaches to all subject areas.
Daily Updates: Parents will be able to track student activities on our class photo album. Photos from the classroom will be posted each day to enable parents to prompt their students to talk about what they are learning in the classroom. Students will also be supplied with Words of the Day as prompts to relate their classroom experiences.
Refund Policy
Our refund policy allows for a full refund up to two weeks before the course start date. Cancellations made less than two weeks in advance are eligible for either a 50% refund or 100% Academy credit. Please note, no refunds will be provided once the course has begun.
